ASHORE!
For groups of 8 or more
£30 per person
(If you have booked us to come to your chosen location, then please ignore the details but the plan will play out the same on the day)
On the day, your Captain will greet you at the chosen meeting time at Brighton Marina (close to the No.7 Bus stop which comes straight from Brighton Station, free parking is also available) where your crew will be supplied with classic “shore leave” attire, songbooks and you can have a preliminary drink to muster some courage before your session begins! The meeting venue is a Whetherspoons that has reasonably priced alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and food available.
Then we will board the ONCA barge, and climb down to the belly of the vessel where the boat be moored and together, we will dress like true sailors and the shanties will begin!
(Both meeting place as well as the ONCA barge are very equipped for wheelchair access, however, for any other considerations that need be made, please contact us to have a chat about it.)
Although it is not permitted for you to bring yer own grog aboard the ONCA vessel, a drop of rum each (courtesy of Cap Mckrak) will be waiting for those wanting some of the Dutch courage and alternative refreshments for the non partakers.
After you’re done, you’ll have a classic portrait of your crew, taken by Mckraken with his old time wartime camera in glorious black and white film, which will be sent to you in the form of an old school positive slide for prosperity on a later date, and a digital version you can share straight away on the day to your pals.
You will leave suitably dressed and ready for your evening with songs in your hearts, fire in your gullet and a real taste of rum swiggin nautical history!
